2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Music

Brown University invites applications for a 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Music with specialization in the aesthetics and techniques of music of the African diaspora. This position is to be held jointly at the Cogut Institute for the Humanities and the Department of Music, effective July 1, 2019.

We welcome exceptional scholars who hold a PhD in any number of disciplines, including Africana Studies, American Studies, Ethnomusicology, Digital Media, Performance Studies, etc. We also welcome artists and musicians with PhDs or DMAs to apply with expertise in areas such as music production, hip hop, electronic music, jazz and multimedia.
