Arbeitskreis Studium Populärer Musik (ASPM)
Originally founded by IASPM members, ASPM now is an independent organization pursuing roughly the same ideas as IASPM. This list is intended for the discussion of virtually anything pertaining to the interdisciplinary field known as “cultural studies”: from conversations about works in progress to syllabi exchanges, from calls for papers to debates over cultural theory, from job announcements to discussions of what people on the list are currently reading . . . and then some.

Beatlestud@
Muwi-BEATLESTUD is a project within the MuwiForum at the Institute of Musicology at Cologne University. This list deals with all aspects of Beatles-Studies from harmonical analysis to sales figures. It tries to go beyond chatting about tour dates, new releases or personal likes and dislikes.

Filmus-L
This is a moderated list devoted to discussion of dramatic music for films and television. Among the topics discussed are current and past film scores, film music composers, technical and aesthetic aspects of film scoring, film music history and criticism, and recordings of film music.

IASPM-List

Mayday Group List
The MayDay Group is an international community of music education theorists with a two-fold purpose: (a) to apply critical theory and critical thinking to the purposes and practices of music education, and (b) to affirm the central importance of musical participation in human life and, thus, the value of music in the general education of all people. Politech
It is deals basically with politics and technology, Music only a subject when it is affected. Recent topics have included the Year 2000 problem (Y2K) and its social impact, Net-politics, antitrust, censorship, and domain names. Politech is moderated and receives about three messages a day.

Psymus-List
It allows subscribers to exchange information relevant to research in psychology of music and/or music education. It is managed and moderated on behalf of the Society for Research in Psychology of Music and Music Education (SRPMME).

Rock-List
An Internet discussion group dedicated the academic examination of popular music in all it’s various forms. The list comes discussion from a cultural, historical, sociological, political, feminist, philosophical or theoretical perspective, although it is not limited to these forms of discourse. ROCKLIST is un-moderated, allowing for the free exchange of ideas in an open and diverse environment.

Wimusic
(Women in Music) is a distribution list created by the International Alliance for Women in Music to facilitate dialogue among leaders of various regional and national Women In Music organizations.
