You will be working within a dynamic and enthusiastic team in the Department of Engineering and Technology. In collaboration with the Department of Music and Drama, the department supports BSc(Hons) and BA(Hons) degrees in music technology, popular music production, audio systems and software development for music technology.

A central feature of these courses is a set of 11 recording and production studios, live sound room and 2 audio workstation rooms. Hence you will require a strong understanding of the core areas of music technology. Additionally, experience of the music industry and specialist knowledge of any of the following would be desirable: acoustics, concert hall and location recording, popular music production/recording, live sound and radio production.

A PhD is essential however we may consider applicants who are close to completing a PhD. In addition to teaching and associated duties, you will be expected to develop a programme of research, enterprise and/or scholarly activity.
